This shit is bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S

Horrible song. But I'm addicted. I like bananas, so I guess it's ok.

So things are a little rocky. I'm trying my hardest to be level-headed and full of common sense, however. Why? Because usually I freak out. (Yeah, you heard it. I freak out. Surprising?! I thought so...) It's been a fast week, yet still fairly icky.

I am a people person. I love people. That has two outcomes, though, that have come into play this week. The first one is that I have extra super wonderful friends and because I value them all, I hate to make people angry. The second, which is directly connected to the first, is that I am simply terrible at being angry. I get angry. VERY angry, sometimes. But I'm no good at looking at someone and saying, "You know what? I am really mad at you, and this why..." I'm just bad at it. I don't want to fight, I don't want to cry, I don't want to embarrass myself. Natural, really. But some people are good at saying how they feel and actually accomplishing something with it, and I'm just not. So instead, I handle things completely inappropriately, make people mad at me anyway, and mess everything up. Jeeze. I should stop doing that, already.

Until the elections are over next week, I won't be very calm. But I'm trying really hard to reduce the whole anger/freaking out issue. It's not even anger to start with, but a lot of dissapointment. I want this. So bad. I will be involved even if I don't win, but a lot of road blocks have made this not exactly what I was expecting. And the unexpected tends to throw people off.

In the end, it will all be ok.

ANDY COLTON FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!

i second that motion, bring on the commotion

Yeah, I don't get it.

I hope people realize all the responsibility senior student council officers have and how much they continue to have beyond graduation. friends don't let friends vote for morons (actually, people of the united states doesn't seem to understand that concept).

^ Ahh, another small and not very subtle political commentary that I completely agree with... But yeah, I seriously hope he doesn't manage to win. Reid should run... But he says he has too much to do... What a liar.

I'd vote for Reid, quick, let's all pressure him into running!

andy colton for president.....he rocks.....brent for vp.....lets have FUN senior year!!!!

Kylyn, don't leave stupid comments!

Let's have fun senior year? Whoever said that has no idea what FUN is and doesn't care if their class pride goes down the drain. I'm not doubting leadership skills but there are certain people who represent better than others. The majority does not want to be represented by idiots, but I'm not sure about you.

Let's actually have a good senior year. Vote Mick for pres. and Allison for vp!!!

Let's actually have a good senior year. Vote Mick for pres. and Allison for vp!!!

Hey, lets actually have a good senior year. Vote Allison for V.P. and Mike for president!!!

i dont know what you mean about class pride, the junior class has absolutely no pride dont you remember homecoming? ive seen more class pride in the past days BECASE andy is runing than i saw all of homecoming

ps, if you want people to vote for you stop acting like its your birth right to be vice president and that your so much better than anyone else in the studen council because you arent

Most people have had no class pride because no one worked for it. People give up when ideas they don't like are the ones instutitued, especially for homecoming. We lack PARTICIPATION, because if YOU were participating, you would have enjoyed homecoming and been proud of what was done. Don't complain if you have done nothing to contribute. Also, it is not my birth right, and I do not think that. However, I have worked up to this for three years and I KNOW that with the right leaders, our senior year will be a blast.

i wasnt complainin that we had no pride i was just saying that we dont, and also i dont know what everyone is freakin out about how the year will be fun or wont be fun depeding on who the student council people are since they dont do enough that the how year goes would depend on who the council is

besides werent you complaining about how mike doesnt do anything anyway? so why does it matter if andy doesnt do anything or if mike doesnt do anything

Well, at least Mike won't be in prison or drug rehab in 10 years when the are planning our reunuion!! He doesn't think the whole thing is a big joke.

I am not slamming Andy as a person because I do not know him well enough to make a judgement. However, he DOES have quite the record, where as the other candidates do not. There's something about that that isn't very comforting to those of us with pride in their decent behavior. I don't think you can deny that.

OK, the only way Andy will win is cause people think that it will be "funny" to vote for him. Also, it will be a pity vote too. Yes, he has been through a lot and nothing like that should happen to anyone, but he hasn't worked for this position and even if he gets it I don't think he will work for it in that way either. He could prove me wrong but thats just my opinion. And yeah, I actually want a nice class reunion. So, I think it best to vote for Mike and Allison. Those are the best choices in my eyes.

wow, first time on!
I would like to say that how awesome the next year is is up to every single person of the class. It isn't up to the officers to make you have a good time, only you can decide when you will be happy or having fun. As for Andy, I've talked to him and I actually have confidence in him. I think he would add a new twist to everything and get a different crowd into school stuff. don't get me wrong, Mike deserves to win but it would be an interesting year if Andy did. I just hope that Allison wins! ending comment- Happiness is a choice-choose it and live while you still can- life's too short not to.

Exactly! It's up to each and every person to have a good year.I wanted very much to put that in my speech, but by the time it was necessary, I would have screwed up all the rest of the important things I had to say! It's very true, so get involved!

I don't know if i think andy should win or not. there are many reasons why he would make a terrible class president, but he does have a lot of spirit-something mike lacks in his rock like personality. mike would do a fine job and be very responsible. however, i have an issue with how he thinks just because he is big and tall he is tougher and better than everyone else. One thing is for sure though, either of them would make a much better class president than the infamous dirt in the corner, world hating, destany thomas.
As for vp, i really hope you lose. I just don't like your attitude about yourself. It also really irratated me at homecoming when you got all upset because not everything was going the way you invisioned it, and other people were getting involved and having fun and stealing what you thought was your baby. I hope brent wins b/c he has a good sense of humor and isn't as self concerened and worried with fixing everything that you percieve as wrong in the world as you are.

To the person who wrote that last comment, Mike does NOT have a rock-like personality! He is actually a really nice, funny guy. Apparently you are jealous because your body isn't as nice as his! And, Allison did a wonderful job with the homecoming stuff. Considering that she does most of the work anyways, I think it is perfectly fine for her to get a little irritated when others get involved and try to change things, when they didn't even contribute at the begining. And besides, there is nothing wrong with working hard to make something the best that it can possibly be. I find that a very admirable trait. As for you, leaving nasty, anonymous comments on a blog is not how you fix a situation. It is quite immature and cowardish!

Sorry, unless you are Mike or Allison don't say that Allison does all the work - I worked by ass off too.
Thanks!

ok, all i can remember about homecoming was how much fun it was. actually, homecoming is one of the two things worth remembering for me this year. sad? maybe, but at least im not complaining about all the work we put in and how im not being recognized. if you need that gratification, ok, anyone who helped out did alot and should be proud. the only thing that made me angry about homecoming was how they cut out our awesome homecoming songs on tv. but, allison was one of the maybe 25 people who actually helped to make something out of our semi difficult theme. ponder that. yeah, the end.

OK first of all PEOPLE, Class president DOESN"T do the class reunions. I'm in student council and i think i know more than any of you ass holes. Andy would have made a great president, we would have gotten a variety of people to help out with homecoming, unlike somebody I know who only asks the same people every year and isn't open to other people helping out. And for anyone who said that Andy is just a druggie, maybe you should get to know him before you say shit like that. He happens to be one of the nicest most caring people that i know and he's been through hell, so for you guys to say that sure shows what kind of people you are. I can't even believe you can even say that about someone you don't even know! So Woo Hoo it's going to be another homecoming like this year, last year and the year before; next year!! It's Going to SUCK!! And foget about the damn reunion Allison doesn't do that anyway!! Seriosuly, I can't even believe the things you said about Andy you all are fucking idiots!!!

There is no doubt in my mind that he is a good person. However, class officers are supposed to be honorable positions, and those who spend time in in-school suspension and get arrested (in my eyes at least) are not the most honorable out there. Plus, we already voted, and he did not win. If more people thought he was the right candidate, the results would have been different. Anyone can help with homecoming, and has been encouraged to. Last year we held meetings and tried getting suggestions, and no one helped out or showed up. The same people do the same things every year, and if I could increase the number of people involved I would certainly do it. I meant what I said in my speech, so do not criticize those in charge for somehow restricting the participation of others.

alison alot of people said last year you complained about people who showed up to help

why would anyone want to help if they are just going to be doing whatever your stuck up little mind think they should be doing instead of what everyone else wants to be doing

i bet this year the theme will be whatevr stupid thing YOU think would be the best or easiest for YOU to tink up things to do with it even if you get tons of suggestions that are better and more creativ

homecoming is supposed to be about fun and doing what most of the group wants to do if you want everyone to do what you want to be done then either pay people to come and work for yu like a busines owner or dont expect anyone to come at all

how about this year you actually listen to sugestions and take a step back a little and let people other than yourself be seen in homecoming

looking back at the tshirts and the decorations and the theme choices and everything that sucked all i see is alison and her ideas no ones else

There is no reason for you to be complaining. The only time I ever got mad was during hall decorating, when I had put together everything myself because no one else would help, and then random people began showing up and doing things they weren't supposed to be doing because of rules that had previously been set by someone other than me. If you didn't suggest anything or come to the meeting we had, stop complaing. The reason for no write-ins last year had nothing to do with class officers, and the reason we don't get to vote at all this year has nothing to do with class officers either. We will pick a theme that is challanging and will be usable for every aspect of the week, and it will NOT only be up to me, you can count on that.

Allison Five Words for you...YOU DON'T LET ANYONE HELP!!!! You just get mad at people when they try to help and then you complain because poor you feels like you're doing all of the work!! Maybe you should give someone else a chance. Oh and the homecoming theme sucks it should have been CSI, maybe you should listen to your other classmates when Siena takes the time to let everyone vote and CSI wins and somehow the theme turns out to be Ancient Eygpt!! Wow that's a great one, we sure can do hmmm NOTHING with that!

First of all, less than half of our class "voted," some people voted more than once, and some people didn't get to vote because they didn't want the theme to be CSI. We had decided not to vote because there was not a fair way to do it in the time we had, and the vote that was actually done was exactly that- not fair. Having been involved with homecoming for 3 years already, we chose a theme that will be a challange and that we can do amazing things with. You choose whether or not you're going to help- what you put into it determines what you get out.

Allison you can shove it up your ass. i don't know what all this crap is about people not helping you. Last year during homecoming i asked you when the meetings were and on one of the days that there was a meeting you said to my face...."oh i don't know." That doesn't really show very good leadership. Also this is not like the Allison homecoming party...homecoming is for the whole junior class. Therefore you should deal with the theme that the majority wants not that you want. And 175 people is a lot of people and you are the one complaining about how there are never enough people who give their opinion and help out...well that seems like a lot too me. Siena did a lot of work trying to make it fair and u and mike just ignored her and the rest of the class. i am soo dissapointed that those are the kind of people we have that are suppose to represent us...Thanks a lot for letting us have a say in OUR homecoming!!!

You go ahead and think what you want. There was only ONE meeting last year, and about 6 people showed up, thus the reason we did't really have another one before construction and actual planning started. THERE WILL BE A MEETING ON THURSDAY AFTER SCHOOL IN THE LARGE GROUP ROOM. Will you be there...?
