random update

I have suddenly decided that the thing I may miss the most about high school is the Pep Band.

Yeah. That's all.

so I've been thinking...

The World Cup is something that I cannot quite grasp. Have you watched those games, and looked at the stands? The sheer millions of people who are in attendance, and who are all wearing the same colors and chanting the same cheers?

I think it would be a simply superb idea for the leaders of the world to observe this gigantic event, and take some notes. Instead of going to war, let's challange our enemies to a good game of soccer. Or football, whatever they may call it. The final score depends not only on the actual game but also on the support of the fans. The winning team is the strongest and the best, and that country is deemed more powerful. There are no guns. No one dies. Brilliant. The losing team still played a great game and will still get medals, but they will know that they can't boss around the winners. No hard feelings, and, once again, no casualties.

How can a world, containing so many countries that hate each other so much, peacefully come together for the same NON-VIOLENT cause? Especially in the midst of real wars and suffering? Doesn't that say something? There are good people who want to see their country succeed and be recognized. Millions upon millions of them. They support their country enough to paint flags on their stomachs, wear crazy hats, cheer and sing at the top of their lungs, and have it all viewed on international television. That's pure dedication. These fans seem to care more about their country and its team than any politician I've ever seen. Why don't we start ignoring the people who are supposed to be in charge, and start listening to those who are this passionate about their cause?

I have only four words left.

Let's play some soccer.

;)

this song makes me cry

...you say you don't wanna hurt me
don't want to see my tears
so why are you still standing here
just watching me drown

and it's alright, yeah I'll be fine
don't worry about this heart of mine
just take your love and hit the road
there's nothing you can do or say
you're gonna break my heart anyway
so just leave the pieces when you go...

el fin

I suck at goodbyes. There is no way around that. I am just plain horrible at understanding the end of things.

This week, two major parts of my life ended. Everything changed. Some of that was good, some was bad, and some was bittersweet.

And none of it feels real yet.

I don't want to know what will happen when it does.
